Joshua Tree Visitor Information |
|
Joshua Tree is a small tourist town with 10,000 people is the main
gateway to Joshua Tree National. The town is located 30 miles and 50 minutes
from Palm Springs and is within a 4 hour drive of 20 million people - In
Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas The
town's name, Joshua Tree, obtained global recognition in 1987 with the
release of the music album "The Joshua Tree" by the British rock band
U2. However, the album had little or nothing to do with the
region. It was just coincidence. Anyway, I have arrange the
visit information into categories as follows:

Places to Eat |
|
There are lots of places to eat when you visit Joshua
Tree. However, most locals only frequent a few places. The
Crossroads Cafe has great food and a super cool look and feel;
Park rock cafe has a good reputation and next to the visitor centor.
At
Pappy and Harriet's is out of town 20 miles, but you can eat dinner and
listen to great music. |
|
Cross Roads Cafe, Joshua Tree.
Restaurant. Locally owed. We can not say enough good things
about this place. It is great; you will not find a nicer place
to hang out and eat on the planet! It is also harder to find
nicer people. One of the top 3 things to happen to Joshua Tree
this decade.
