TRAINING

Joshua Tree Ranch has a long history of horse training and seminar that date back tot he early days of the ranch when we began adopting wild mustangs from the BLM.  Since then our activities have include.

• Wild Mustang Training.  The program program is run in cooperation with California and Nevada Division of the Bureau of Land Management.   The Ranch is a Certified Wild Mustang Adoption and Training Center.  The Ranch is home to a number of wild mustang that obtained and trained as part of the BLM mustang adoption program. Training wild mustangs is a not as easy as it sounds! Joke!  Program is run my James and Kelly Verret. 

• Seminars.  The ranch conducts equestrian training seminars on a period basis.  Some of these events are sponsored and promoted by the ranch, while others are promoted by local equestrian group and the the 4-H. For more information, contact these organizations.

TRAINING RATES Foal/Young Horse Program (horses age birth to 2 years)- Five days forced exercise, one day turned out, one day off $290 per month plus board The Basics Program (horses age 2 to 4 years)- Five days forced exercise, one day turned out, one day off $310 per month plus board Pleasure Horse Program- Five days forced exercise, one day turned out, one day off $340 per month plus board Show Horse Performance Training/Conditioning Program- Five days forced exercise, one day turned out, one day off $410 per month plus board Show Horse Halter Training/Conditioning Program- Five days forced exercise, one day turned out, one day off $410 per month plus board
