- The mare owner for mare exams: to determine if
she is healthy enough to breed and to determine when
she ovulates. If the mare is bred live cover
at the ranch, the mare owner is responsible for mare
transport, care, and board. Pasture breading
or breeding shed may be an option, but breading shed
is preferred.
- Fees: Stud and booking fee depending on
the stud; mare board is $50 per night, if artificial
insemination is used, fee for collecting, handling,
and transporting semen
- No Live Foal Guarantee. The mare owner
must be willing to take the risk of financial loss

stud fee but is under no obligation to do so.
